I currently provide virtual appointments in Colorado, which is often a great, low-pressure way for emerging teens, teens, & young adults to connect
Rate:
$130 per hour
I offer a select amount of reduced-fee spots for clients and families for whom my standard fee is currently out of reach. If you feel a lower rate would make our work together sustainable, please reach out to check my current availability.
Payment:
Cash pay
While I am not in-network with insurance providers, I am happy to provide you with a monthly superbill. Many families are able to use this to seek partial reimbursement from their insurance company
A few "Why’s" regarding how I work
I know every counseling practice is a little different, so here is why I’ve chosen a virtual, private-pay model for Kindred Ground:
Why Virtual?
I’ve found that for many young people, the most "safe" and comfortable place is their own room or a quiet corner of their home.
• Comfort: Being in a familiar environment helps lower the "therapy jitters."
• Convenience: Life is busy. Virtual sessions mean one less commute for parents and more flexibility for students juggling sports, clubs, and homework.
• Accessibility: We can work together no matter where you are in Colorado.
Why Private Pay?
I’ve chosen not to partner directly with insurance companies for a few specific reasons that benefit my clients:
• Privacy & Control: Insurance companies require a formal mental health diagnosis to cover sessions, which then becomes part of a permanent medical record. By staying private pay, your records and our work together stay completely confidential between us.
• No Middle Man: I want our sessions to be guided by what my clients actually needs—not by how many sessions an insurance company thinks they should have.
• Personalized Care: This model allows me to keep my caseload smaller so I can give each individual and family my full energy and focus.
