Your Questions, Answered

  • I offer virtual counseling as a licensed professional counselor (LPC) for adolescents and teens, typically middle and high school aged young people.

  • Finding the right connection is the first step in pursuing therapeutic care.

During a free 15-minute consultation call, we can explore your goals for therapy and ensure my approach aligns with your needs. This is also a great space for you or your family to ask any questions and see if this feels like a genuine place for you to land.

Please click the Book a Consultation button at the top of this page for us to find a time to chat.

  • My rate is $130 for a “therapeutic hour” which is 45-50 minutes.

  • I know the first session can feel a little nerve-wracking, so I keep things pretty low-key. We aren’t going to dive into the heaviest stuff the second we log on.

For the Parents: We’ll start with a quick check-in to go over the "housekeeping" stuff—confidentiality, goals, and any big questions you have. My goal is to make sure you feel confident in the partnership we’re building. Once you feel like we’re at a good spot with “housekeeping” we conclude this portion of the session.

For the Client: The rest of the time is just for us. I’m not here to grill you with a million questions or make you feel like you’re in a doctor’s office. We’ll spend some time getting to know each other—what you like, how you spend your time, and what’s actually going on in your world. Think of it as a "vibe check" to make sure you feel comfortable talking to me.

Moving Forward: By the end of the first session, we’ll usually have a good feel for how we want to work together. Whether we’re working on specific skills for school or just need a place to process life, we’ll figure out a plan that actually feels helpful to you.

  • The short answer is, whatever you want!

I like for clients to feel that they can bring whatever they want to talk about into the session each week, all things big or small. On the weeks where you feel like you don’t know what to talk about I can help center and guide the time together based on past discussions or already determined goals.

Therapy is not supposed to be a burden or something to dread, it’s my job to work alongside you each time we meet.
